Frequently asked questions

The feature is included in all Check Easy plans. Pre-authorizations (card holds) are 100% free. A 5% commission applies only in case of capture (actual charge for damage). If you release the deposit, you pay nothing.

No. A pre-authorization is not a charge. The amount is simply held (reserved) on the guest's card. Their money doesn't leave their account. If everything goes well, the hold is lifted automatically.

You can capture all or part of the deposit amount directly from your dashboard. The guest receives a notification with details and supporting documents (report, photos). Only the amount corresponding to actual damage is charged.

The pre-authorization is valid for up to 31 days depending on the guest's bank. For longer stays, the system automatically handles renewal if necessary.

No, never. Card data is processed exclusively by our PCI-DSS certified payment provider. Check Easy only sees the last 4 digits and card type.

The guest must register their card to access the property inspection workflow. This is a mandatory condition set by the manager. The terms are clearly presented to the guest before any validation.

The Check Easy security deposit works independently from booking platforms. It complements Airbnb's protection by offering direct control over the deposit, with your own evidence and your own management.
